Haiku

Haiku is a 3 line poem. Put your own thoughts into a Haiku after visiting eHOW which gives you a step-by-step guide.

Here's another site aimed at youngsters which again, guides you through your first steps in writing a Haiku. Lots of examples should help you to write your first Haiku.

This clever author takes you step by step through the process of writing poetry to help overcome whatever problems ail you. Lots of exercises, engouraging words and humour guide you from first steps through to writing longer poetry.

Going to the hairdresser takes on new meaning in the piece Hair Today Gone Tomorrow (page 10) and Washing Lines (page 12) are just 2 examples which will raise a smile. Don't take my word for it, download a copy for yourself.
